Stuff I dig - Explanations
The title of this blog is based on something that someone said to me this one time:
"Metaphysics does not ask about the truth of Being itself. Nor does it therefore ask in what way the essence of man belongs to the truth of Being. Metaphysics has not only failed up to now to ask this question, the question is inaccessible to metaphysics as such. Being is still waiting for the time when it will become thought-provoking to man..."
-Martin Heidegger, "Letter on Humanism"
I think you could be a fantabulous realization of the Heideggerian ideal. You could do all sorts of nifty stuff like Be, while knowing that you are Being.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
And this saying, along with some disparaging words about Ayn Rand, led to my crisis, which is funny in a way.
